MICTA was established in 2003 and built its technical and professional abilities to meet the requirements of the multinational companies. In 2004 MICTA became the distributor of New Holland in Iraq. In December 2005 MICTA became the sole distributor and dealer for Cummins in Iraq. MICTA is the first Iraqi company that is authorized directly from the manufacturers in Power Generation and Diesel Engines. The head office of MICTA-Cummins is located in one of the prime business area in Baghdad. The company has six main departments to handle its business. These departments are:
1- Cummins Power Generation Commercial Department: CPG Commercial Department is responsible for marketing Cummins Generators in Iraq, through the four offices in the following main Iraqi cities Baghdad, Mosul, Erbil and Basra.
2- Cummins Engines Commercial Department: Cummins Engines Commercial Department is in charge of marketing power packs, marine, and loose engines to re-power and drive generators, pumpst, marine, industrial and construction equipments. 3- Spare Parts Commercial Department: The department is responsible for marketing genuine Cummins spare parts, Fleetguard filters and coolant, Valvoline lubricant oil, Holset turbochargers, PCC parts, and other electrical parts 4- Engineering department: is responsible for studying and analyzing the tenders and provide solutions and technical support. 5- After Marketing Department: MICTA is in charge of performing after sales services through 4 big and modern service centers to maintain and repair all type of Cummins generators and engines using specific tools and devices which they are recommended by Cummins . 6- Financial & Administration Department: Handle all financial issues, relations with banks, vendors and customers. The department monitors the company activities to make sure that they are achieving their targets.
